In the video, vapor bubbles are growing within a fluid boundary layer near the tube surface. The surface reaction by-products are carried to the bulk fluid and fresh chemical is convected to the surface. The result is rapid surface treatment during vacuum and a slower reaction rate during the VCN pressure cycle.
